Plaid shirts have been popping up everywhere and has become a wardrobe staple. I bought this  plaid shirt  in Target and absolutely love it! This is one of my favorite ways to wear it, mainly because it is so simple. On top, a fur vest with fringe booties from a local boutique called Destin Stars . The fur vest and fringe boots give it a little more personalty and you can swap them out to change the entire look. Hello everyone and happy Monday! If you follow me on   Instagram   or Snapchat @fabuloustorture, you'd know I'm back from New York City. I wrote this post at the airport, it was 1am and I was extremely tired!  Let me just start from the beginning and tell you about my adventure there. So I flew to NY early Friday, got up around 3am, and got to the hotel at 2pm. I stayed at the "W" NY on Lexington and 49. The entire stay there was pleasant!  The hotel was nice and clean, which is always a plus.  As soon as I settled in, I left to explore the city. I've never been there before, and if you don't know your way around NY, it can be a little overwhelming. I used a map and walked to Times Square which was only about 10 min from the hotel, but I got lost and it took me close to an hour to get there. I booked a Hop On & Hop Off red bus and took a ride downtown to the Brooklyn Bridge. I walked the bridge and waited for sunset to take many ...

During the fall and winter my wardrobe tends to change colors, because I love gray, brown, green olive, a little bit of black and of course, white. I always make an effort to keep my eyes out for brighter pieces, like shoes, to go with the dark pieces. These blue lace-up shoes are very soft and come in three different colors black, blue and snake print. I'm so excited because I'm heading to New York this weekend for the Simply Stylist event. October is a very fun month with many events to participate in, especially for kids. Here, on the panhandle, everything from SWFW, fishing rodeo, Mullet Festival, corn mazes, pumpkin patches and of course Halloween.  Last weekend, we took Anayan, for the first time, to a corn maze. It was pretty awesome. They had mail boxes in the corn maze and you had to find them and hole-punch your ticket. If you find them all, you have the chance to enter a raffle for $100. Of course we took the challenge and Anayan had blast looking for the boxes and punching our tickets. They also had hay rides, a kiddie train, horseback and petting zoo.  We feed the goats, horses, baby chickens, rabbits, a donkey and even a turkey.   I made a video from our weekend, so you can watch it for yourself.  Thank you all for stopping by!
