Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! I'm always getting asked, what exactly is blogging? So today, I will tell you a little about what I do when it comes to blogging.
A blog is basically a journal (my journal) that is available on the web. I started blogging about fashion, but as my blog grew I started sharing a little about beauty, nutrition, personal life, travel, mommy's live and even started my own YouTube channel.
Blogging is extremely time consuming. A blogger needs to come out with new content at least a couple times a week, and stay consistent, this way readers stay interested and want to come back.
Bloggers always need to have an idea and make that idea happened! To make it happen I have to get the content somehow, whether it's out of my pocket, partner with brands, review products, advertise on my blog, sell and buy or just an idea I would like to share with you...all opinions are my own and I only share what I like!
Some think blogging is a joke and just consists of posing in front of cameras. To run an intriguing blog takes a lot of time consuming work!
Unless you live under a rock, you know blogging had been huge for the past four years!
Designers, retailers and companies prefer to work with bloggers before anything else. Bloggers can help to sell and promote all kinds of products by sharing their opinion on it.
Each product in a blogger's post has a description of where the item is from. When a reader clicks on it, it takes them to the page where they can buy it. If you go to that page directly through the blogger's page and purchase the item or another item on that page, the blogger may make a commission on the purchase.
Moving on to the actual work - develop the idea, take impressive eye-catching photos, link your product to the company, answer emails, answer your readers, follow up with the latest trends, do collaborations, meetings...all that is time consuming, but fun for the one who truly loves blogging like myself!
When it comes to YouTube...developing a video can take up to a week of work, so when I make one I do appreciate all the nice comments, likes and shares over social media. To get a video out there I have to record, download and edit the video. Editing is the hardest, and if you want a good video it can take a few days. Afterwards, you have to create a video thumbnail and post the video. But wait, we are not done there. You have to again, answer all comments and questions your subscribers may have. At the same time, as soon as a YouTuber posts a video they are already working on another.
I work on my blog, YouTube and post on my social media constantly.
When a person has a job, in many cases, after the job is over the job is done, and that particular person is off for the remained of the day, but bloggers are constantly answering emails on the go...
There is a lot of hate and jealousy out there, so putting myself all over social media is not always easy, but fashion is and always has been my passion! I'm doing what makes me happy. Sometimes it's just sad to see so many haters out there, but the followers make up for it.
This blog definitely helped me to see who are my true friends!
I just want to put it out there since people have vast opinions on blogging.
